LeBron in a heartbeat.

He is more of a franchise player that you can build around. He has done more with less at a younger age than D-Wade.

LeBron is bigger and perhaps has better basketball smarts.

He is sound on defense while also carrying that unique ability to take over a game offensively and quite possibly that once, or perhaps twice in a lifetime spark to dominate his league.

D-Wade was fortunate to fall into the right place at the right time...not to mention getting the benefit of the WWF version of the NBA officiating.

Don't get me wrong, D-Wade is a strong talent, but he is nowhere near the level of LeBron.

By the way...I'm not a Cavs fan, I simply believe LeBron is the best player in the NBA today and to think...this was his Senior year of college...

Lebron, he is a team player and very young....he has the skills to go all the way, look at the way he single handily carried Cleveland to the championship game. D Wade needed a lot of help.
Lebron..he's great at more than on facet of the game.
Hands down I would take Bron, u can already see that u put mediocre talent at best around him and he can bring u to a champiohship series already. He is much younger and still has plenty of talent to bloom into a world class champioship. Lebron is hands down the best athlete in the game today and maybe the best athlete to play the game of basketball ever. He has a lil bit of Magic, Jordan, and Dr. J all built into one. He will never ever be as good as Jordan. But he is the one player in the NBA right now that I would take to build a team around.
lebron is a better player 1 on1, but wade is the better team player and he makes better decisions than lebron in the clutch.

I'd take lebron because he can make players around him better compared to dwade wher he need others to make him better. Lebron may not be as clutch as dwade but he can learn it throughout his career. Lebron just need a coach that can guide him to the right decision making on the court like dwade when he had great coaches like pat riley and stan van gundy

He's simply great...really young but way too mature for his age...Is a born leader and accepts resposibility for not only his actions but also the team's performance. and mediocre talent around him will get better results.

Dwade..Also awesome..but somehow I dont see him going as far as Lebron did with Lebron's support..for 2 reasons...maybe not as talented..maybe..but somehow does not come across as a leader..

Dwade was great during the finals but Defense had to concentrate on Shaq and the other talent around him..in Lebron's case..the best defensive team had to worry only about Lebron and shut himdown completely..Its not that he dint take over..he just couldnt..

So if I was building a team around either..Im going to assume I will have 4 other decent players but none who are really great..and if thats the case..Lebron will atleast get your team to the finals...

when it comes down to it, wade is a very nice talent, but he just isnt as much of a team player...everybody knows kobe is "Mr Black Hole", then you got arenas, melo, and not far behind wade.

It's nice however I would like to make a few exchanges

1 take out Pau Gasol and add in Tim Duncan, overall Tim Duncan is more fundimental, consistant, and a better defender(and i love Pau)

2) Amare over Dirk, Amare is more electicfying and a better defender now(I say Amare because he is now back to a PF not a Center)

3)Im a Suns fan but you need to take off Nash for Baron Davis, the team is so good at creating their own shots, that you dont need an assister like Nash on the team, with Baron replacing Nash you bolster up the teams Defense that much more

Since I made Amare into the PF where he should be, that leaves one Center spot open, and why not give it to the 2nd best rebounder and the best blocker in the game right now, Camby may not be a huge scorer but his presence would be a force down low when he comes in for Howard

anyways thats just my opinion

The second. While Kobe and Dwyane have a small advantage over T-Mac and Lebron, I don't think Garnett has the size to match up against Howard. If you replaced Garnett with a center, the first team would easily win.

Well he still has 2 more years of high school and then one year ofcollegebefore we find out.

Although he is the #1 ranked Sophomore in his class- his game still has some holes- mainly ball handling. So we'll have to wait and see. Right now he sounds like possilby the next Greg Oden (who like Tyler- we'll just have to wait and see). Based on Jeremy's game being mostly inside in the post- and defensive- comparing him to LeBron not very comprable- but if you're talking about the hype surrounding him- we'll have to see what he does in the next couple of years.

His combination of size, speed and skill are nearly unguardable. With very little NBA experience, he's already doing the things that Iverson does best, and he adds rebounds and blocks to the fold. Defensively, he's just a bigger version of Iverson. The difference is that it isn't b/c his size limits his defense. Right now, it's just overall inexperience. He is improving, and it won't take long before he surpasses A.I. in the defensive area.

i cant say that i hate him, but his attitude shouldn't be part of the game. basketball is a game. you win or you lose. you shouldn't have to worry about players complaining all the time, and i think that LeBron tries to think who he is. First of all, Lebron doesn't have to be anything like Marino...but that's not just up to him. this is a TEAM problem, so it's going to take a better effort from the entire organization. they need to do everything necessary to capitalize on this season, and that includes making trades...restructuring of contracts to clear cap space...the coach getting a better understanding of how to coach (cuz he was taken to school and severely out coached)...the role players playing better....and of course, Lebron making his own improvements.

The time for them is NOW. with the eastern conference playing so lackluster, their chances of getting back are pretty good. truth be told, they are one dependable veteran away from being in that spot. Donyell Marshall, Larry Hughes, Damon Jones, and Eric Snow....should all be on the chopping block!!! make a move for Jermaine Oneal or KG.

Very possible. LeBron is not the type to sit back and make less money off his salary so that the team can sign more players of value. The Bulls dynasty of the 90's was largely possible because Jordan artifically deflated the salaries of the rest of the team - and he could live on his Nike and other sponsorships. Right now, I don't see LeBron doing something like that in an attempt to let the team be better.

Jordan was the greatest, the whole package. Kobe is right there with Jordan as far as skill level but just lacks in other areas. If Kobe had Lebron's court vision and IQ and his unselfishness, he'd be tied with Jordan and he'd have at least 3 more rings right now.

It's Kobe right now. The other two lack his consistency. LeBron kind of panics near the end of close games, and he isn't the best FT shooter. D-Wade gets hurt too much b/c he drives too hard, and he's doesn't/can't play out his full potential until the playoffs. Kobe can shoot from anywhere on the court in any manner, single-handedly erase double-digit halftime deficits, play defense, and is a decent rebounder for a guy his size. He has the most complete repertoire of skills.

But one thing that Kobe is missing: His patience. He must understand that not many people, if any, have his talent, killer instinct, or work ethic. Kobe is too impatient. LeBron and D-Wade are both much better in this area. LeBron is has a quiet charisma and is amazingly mature and composed for a 22 year old (now, don't rebut my claim by talking about how much be bungled up in the Finals. The Spurs are best as torturing newcomer in the finals). D-Wade is just downright an awesome person; Shaq always wants to play tag with him superman style, and D-Wade often gets hurt when Shaq gets carried away. But he's always a good sport about it. Plain and simple, D-Wade is an awesome person, and if I were to meet him one day, nothing would inhibit me from running over to him for a handshake.

Ok, back to the skills part. I think that LeBron will ultimately be a little better than Kobe. He's already beginning to develop the fadeaway. And if D-Wade also polishes up his outside shooting and doubles his 3pt. percentage, he'll make a strong case as well.

Lebron amazes me by how good he is already. He is the 2nd best guard in the league at age 21. He has 10 years left of basketball and he has already surpassed the talent of some greats. I think he does not have anyone to help him it is just the Lebron Show. Lebron gets better every year and he always adds something to his repeteur. This year he became a great shooter.

They are both outstanding guards. But I give Kobe my vote because of his experience and ability to perform in crunch time.

Yea but when we set out for Michael Redd (who was LeBron's first choice) a few years back we stacked the money for Redd but he chose to stay a Buck. LeBron is the one who said to go after Hughes. We are paying too much money to Hughes and will never unload his contract. The mistake of signing Hughes is not entirely Ferry's doing LeBron had some to do with it too.

What do you mean better ? If you mean more talented than it is by far Kobe Bryant. He is by far the most potent scorer in the NBA (and one could argue ever). He has done things that you will probably never see again. He has had 30+ first quaters and 81 point games. He has won 3 rings and i wouldnt put it past him to get 3 more if he/LA get there act togrher

If you are talking about the better player- I would pick Dwyane Wade. Wade is talented, athletic, and clutch. He is the only one of the 5 that you named, that has a Finals MVP trophy. Which means he performed the best on the world's biggest stage. Kobe has 3 rings, but no Finals MVPs.

If you are talking more skilled/talented- it would be Kobe Bryant by far. Kobe is one of the most potent scorers the game has seen. He has done things that others all havent: 81 pts in 1 game, 62 pts in 3 quarters, 30 pts in 1 quarter, 4 straight 50+ pt games, and 10 50+ pt games in 1 season. Defensively, Kobe has also been on the All-NBA 1st and 2nd teams.

But don't get me wrong, I'm not saying Tracy McGrady (a great candidate for MVP this season, but lost to that German), Allen Iverson (the greatest "small man" ever to play the game), or Lebron James (the player with the most potential) are bad, they just don't match Wade and Kobe in those 2 categories I named.

He prolly wouldnt need a point guard and i wouldnt say he is like a jordan but more like a better version of Scottie Pippen or a present time Oscar Robertson. Basically he needs some talent around him. Adding a point guard would simple allow him to play more of a scoring role and less of a distributing role which i dont know if that is better. Giving the team another scoring option is probably the most important factor whether its a big man (maybe a zach randolph) or a shooting guard/small forwards (like a t-mac or something) will definately helpout. I think adding a really good point guy like jason kidd definately would not hurt Lebron tho.

Who are they going to unload Larry Hughes on? Who is going to take his contract? You are right, he is costing them 13 million a year (maybe it's 12) and isn't giving them anything. So another team would want to trade for him why?
i def agreee, they need anothher top scorer. i think they are doing pretty goood considering lebron is the only player that averages 20 more points a game, i like gibson, gooden, sosha, i acually like larry hughs lol

LeBron has a solid team actually.
Of course he needs a point guard. What are they going to do play with only 4 on the court because they don't need a PG. With a good PG it will force teams to defend the ball and not sag off to double LeBron. BTW for a shooting guard to get a for sure 20 points a game, he is going to need at least 18 shots. Is there room for that in the Cavs offense? Those shots have to come from somewhere, is LeBron giving up his chances?

they need a PG because Lebron james is a passer in the cavs set to set offense and if you look at the cavs team stats, the point gap between lebron and the second scorer is 15.Now suppose a good pg like Nash was in the roster, then the sum of the PPG would increase nearly by 10.Lebron will increase his PPG and so does big Z and gooden.
first of all lebron is not even the same type of player as jordan... and he does need a point gaurd cuz if hes on the bench they still need a general
